Stay Independent: A Healthy Aging Series | News, Sports, Jobs – Fort Dodge Messenger



Iowa State Extension and Outreach is offering its “Stay Independent: A Healthy Aging Series” virtually from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from Oct. 6 through Nov.10. Through the Stay Independent classes you will learn the health benefits of eating well and moving more, obtain great resources for healthy aging and exchange ideas with peers to help you meet your health goals.

This six-week nutrition and wellness series provides information and tips for older adults (ages 60 and up) to help remain healthy and independent. Topics include Cooking for One or Two, Exercise your Independence, Power Up With Protein, Feast on Fruits and Vegetables, Brain Health and Three Meals a Day.
